	Alan I think it is pot luck here. Not all school records were preserved. Some were passed on to local authorities, but many were not and are lost. Even if schools have them, they are often not filed efficiently or electronically and you are therefore reliant on over-worked school secretaries whose job is nothing to do with family history, to help you out.
