At what age could British Citizens get married in India in the 1800s?

Thank you, around what time would that have been?
When was it increased?

I believe it was as late as 1929 when the minimum age was raised to 16. Both parties needed parental consent if they were under 21. (unitl, I think 1969, when the age was lowered to 18 before parents' permission was required.)

I got married in 1972 at the age of 18. I did not need Mum or Dad's consent.
