I have found an invaluable website that perhaps a lot of people already know about. For those who don't -

There are some wonderful drawings of old churches and the hand drawn maps are incredible. As there are many London ancestors in my tree I've found it fascinating to see the areas they lived and how the towns have changed over many years. An added bonus for me is a map showing Jamaica Row (Road) with numbered houses and there are two houses belonging to ancestors.
