computer prob ??

Thank you, I had exactly the same problem. @ was" but that also meant that " was @, if you know what I mean! Still I will follow your advice as it's much easier doing things the right way.

Thanks sooo much.every single English /Uk had to be changed but hey look I can @@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@@ to my hearts content now.

Assume you loaded operating system, if thats the case probably have not set the keyboard to English, if its vista go into control panel change from there

does anyone technical have a clue what is wrong please?

I have managed to buy and install a new laptop,felling pretty pleased with my skills, but it has a fault that renders it useless !

Instead of @ it gives me ", without an @ I cant sign in my email addy , before I go ranting back to the store and make a complete fool of myself , is there any way I can lose the " and get an @ ?????
