Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me. I have a Henry Oakenfull, born in 1809 in Canterbury, subsequently married Jane Griffiths in Dover in 1832. These were my gggg parents.

I know they went on to have a number of children, lived in Dover and, I believe, died in 1855 and 1863. I also know Jane had a sister, Mary, who lived with her until she died in 1853. What I want to find out is who were Henry and/or Jane's parents, and were there any other siblings? Can anyone help me?

Hi, yes, that's where I found the marriage. I can't remember! where I found Henry's birth (probably just from 1851 census), and I have been unable to find anything useful about Jane.

It's so frustrating! Presumably as that info was extracted it means that there's nothing else shown in the marriage register such as father's names etc?

Is it likely that anyone on here would have access to the St Mary the Virgin parish records? I'm just so hoping the father's name, or even a useful witness name might be shown>

My Henry and Jane are living in Dover in 1841, as Pakenfold in the census. Jane is in 1861 as Akenfield, a widow. There are a LOT of different ways of spelling their names, but I just can't find a connection between, for instance, the Oakenperts you mention Jim, and my two.
