Try this site

if you scroll down you will see an entry by Robnewt (I think) anyway he says he has a list of Angus Monumental Inscriptions. Ask him for a look up.

Good luck

Hi everyone,

Could anyone tell me if there is a way to find out which cemetery someone may be buried in, in Scotland?

I have a large number of relatives who died in Mount Road, Montrose, Angus but I do not know how to locate where they went after their death. All were Presbyterian's (I'm not sure if that makes a difefrence to where they were buried) and the period in question would be from 1860 to 1940.

The death certificates do not show this information. I'm not sure do you contact the local Shire and ask someone to do a search or how this works.

I do not live in Britain so I cannot physically perform a search myself.

Any help or guidance would be appreciated.

Cheers

Rachelle
