Yes you have found them ! Henry is my gt. grandfather.
Walter must be mistranscribed, but, I have had no luck.
I have to go now and thank you Jill and Jonesey for your efforts. Much appreciated

If he was in hospital or some sort of institution he may well have been recorded just by his initials. Also, to make it even more difficult, the initials may have been listed back to front - ie "L W" so it would not necessarily be easy to find him.

No Walter was not in the Boer War, his wife Annie is staying with her parents Henry and Susannah Shelton in Wrottesley Wolverhampton.
Their daughters name is Lily Lampitt.
Annie and Walter were married in 1898 but I do not have their marriage certificate.

No Jonesey, his wifes name is Annie, why she is staying with her parents on the night of the census ,I don`t know.
I can only imagine that he is in hospital, but I don`t know how to find that out.
Perhaps he was hiding under the bed when the enumerater called!
Thank you anyway.

I am unable to find a relative on the 1901 census.Walter Herbert Lampitt born 1876 in Penn Wolverhampton.
I have found his wife Annie on the census, she is with her parents and their children, but cannot find Walter,I found his father (also Walter ) and he is not staying with him the night of the 1901 census.
Could he be in hospital?where would I find this out.
Any suggestions please?
