thanks for the reply jim, that is exactly what ive found so far, but helens birthplace is given as massachusets, i have worldwide ancestry, is there a bdm for the US so i can look up the surname of her mother just like the uk does or any way of looking up her mother, i really dont understand how the american stuff works

I am working on a bunce family, its confusing so ill list it
betty plappert b abt 1931 dad=henry plappert mum = helen bunce
Now i did find a marriage in 1928 for helen bunce and henry plappert 1928 westham essex, i know helens mum is called sybella something and her dad is frank herbert bunce and rumour that one or all were american. I see them all on the 1910 us census for massachusetts, henry was a ship master and his wife is sybells but i cannot find a birth for helen anywhere, and i cannot find out sybellas surname nor if helen and henrys marriage in 1928 is the correct one, can anyone help me unravel this please...imn sooo confused.....thanks
