I have tried another computer and it seems to print out or save using that one so I will have to wait for a few days until I get a new computer, I was waiting for the Microsoft 7 which I think comes out on Thursday.

sometimes if you have a clearout of temporary files it can help with the spee

d

before you print go into properties and make it fit the page first ,try to exclude the black edge as it saves ink

new computers aren't much better !

Hi everyone,

me again I really don't understand what is happening, I right click on save, give it a name, then when I go to print it out, it is just a minute 1/2 inch x 1/2 inch box in the corner of the paper, I have tried the format of GIF or Bitmat but it makes no difference, my computer must be stopping me opening it, I have tried printing from the save icon using the right hand mouse but the same happens.

Really don't know what my computer is doing.

Thanks again.

Will try in the morning when I have more patience.

Lesley

I think my computer knows it is for the chop and just playing up again, it is only three years old but very well used, very slow, the keys stick and the battery won't charge, like me past it!!.

next option, try share and email it to yourself ?

{When you save it to your computer , try going straight to your email account and , as if to send an email attachment, browse your recent documents, it ought to be there}.

Hi everyone,

Thanks for your advice, sorry i haven't replied before but I tried several times to save it to my computer which it seems to do (showing JPEG image and I give it a name) but however hard I look it seems to have disappeared..

I wanted my husband to try and see if he was successful before asking for more help, even he who knows quite a lot about computers etc cannot find the saved image. We have searched under "recently changed", documents, pictures etc but no luck.

So unfortunately I am no nearer to printing the image out, I have done it for the census images from Ancestry but no joy this time. I am going out but when I return will try printing from an image that I have not saved to my shoebox. I can print the front sheet but not the actual image.

What ever is happening, any more ideas would be appreciated.

Thanks

Lesley

Have you tried saving to your computer and than printing from there ?

I have saved some records transcribed by Ancestry from the LMA to my shoebox, I cannot print out the actual image itself, when I press the print icon on the top of the sheet (next to share etc) it says "an error occurred during the operation", I have tried the help button, it gives plenty of advice on problems with viewing the sheet but nothing that relates to printing. If I try to print from the usual tool bar it just does the top couple of lines not the image. I have Vista and no other problems of printing with Ancestry.

Thanks

Lesley
