You would have also found Florence on Lancs BMD her birth was registered at Edge hill Liverpool and if you had clicked on the ref no This would have taken you to a form to fill in and apply for the birth certificate

Mo, Didn't I say that in my post at 14:51?

I was hoping that CG would check it out herself on Free BMD, rather than me give her the details.....!

Don't buy credits on GR for bmd info -or any info, if it comes to that.

Much better - and often free- ways of finding out things on other sites

I bought some credits and just used the last one on the last thing I was looking for. I looked on the births for Florence Rainford, 1st quarter, 26/03/1931. He mother was unmarried when born and the child named Rainford. She is not there, could she have been registered in the April? Also she was brought up and passed off as her grandparents child, grandmothers maiden name Griffith.
I would be grateful for any help thanks
