I am trying to find the deaths of my gr gr grandparents. Alfred Bannister b 1876 Leicester and Lilly Plumridge b 1876 High Wycombe. They lived in Leicester and Lilly and the children (Lizzie, Florence,Thomas, Samual maybe more) spent sometime in the Leicester workhouses, they are all obviously dead now but i have no idea when or where!!!
Can anyone please help me?
Many thanks in advance

have you tried searching on FreeBMD, deaths up to about 1930 on there and it is free to search.
Have you found them on any census returns and when were children born? Do you know when children married have you got any marriage certs which would say if father deceased or not

they don't appear to be on FreeBMD up til 1930 so as the rest of years not transcribed yet it means a trawl through every quarter on Ancestry.

You need to be able to narrow the search down as it could mean looking at a lot of quarters I'm afraid.

Hi,
Ive looked on the 1911 census, the children are (workhouse) but not the parents. The last entry i have is 1905 for Lilly entering the workhouse. Ill have a look at the marriage certificate. The only child we know about is Florence, she was my grandmother's mother.
Keep you all posted
