Member Since: May 2007 Posts: 943 Send Message	I have my 3xgreat grandfather marriage parish record if anyone can help what does it mean when it states "from the parish of Alwinton" is that where he was born or where he was living at the time of his marriage. He married in Whittington,Northumberland in 1813 my geography is not very good is that close to the border's of Scotland. Many thanks Val

	Alwinton is in Northumberland too .so he was from Alwinton but whether thats were he was living at the time OR was born and lived there you would have to find his baptism for verification
