Pretty much the same records but FMP has the 1911 and Passenger lists leaving uk and overseas births..
The search facility is rubbish compared to ancestry,,,in my opinion,,,and there are more records at ancestry, including overseas census, baptisms, marriagesand deaths in london and some surrounding areas.
Also you have to wait for the viewer to open to look at original copies on FMP,which ticks me off.

Hi Sam,
I don't have any experience of using Ancestry but I have used Findmypast's census search quite alot and found it very good. You can find all the people with the same surname living in a particular place. This can be very useful at times when you're fishing!

It will also give you the previous or next census page which is good when a family is continued over 2 pages and you don't know all the first names.

You can't do either of those things with the search on here.

Hope this helps, Sue.

Hi,
Can anyone tell me if its worth subscribing to the find my past website? I have previously subscribed to ancestory but am needing to renew, and was wondering which site would be best? Do they have the same records?
Thanks Sam
