Hi, I have been on Genes for a couple of years, but have realised I am not using ity much at all these days as I have probably exhausted all the contacts available via Genes, and have made all the census searches I need to. So I'm now wondering whether its worth carrying on having my tree on here & paying the membership, is there a flat fee for leaving your tree on here or do you have to pay the full membership to have it on here?

if you stop paying your subscription you become a Free Member.Your tree remains where it is.

You will no longer be able to initiate message or post on these boards, however if someone contacts you then you are able to reply. to them.

Have a look at the T's and C's for full details for the different membership categories.

It has always been free to have your tree on here.
You will not be able to see other trees.
Edit
You will still be able to correspond with "your contacts"

You could also download your tree to tribalpages for free. I've got mine on there and have had for some years. i recommended it to a friend earlier this year and through tp she's now in contact with a distant rellie who sent her photos of her gggrandfathers grave.

I have trees on here, Ancestry and Tribal.

I find I get most enquiries and connections through GR, Ancestry is second and Tribal a poor third.

Many of my contacts on GR are free members, and new ones do still pop up from time to time. Only this week we made contact with one of my wife's second cousins whose mothers hadn't been in touch with each other since 1940.
