Do I get stung for TWO b.certs to find out?

Couldn't find a marriage for Elizabeth Spinks to any Norb*ry

Mother Elizabeth Spinks formerly BULLOCK
Living at 41 Court Cheapside, Aston Birmingham
still no sign of where Norberry Edith came from

Have had a little look for Stephen Spinks but can't find hide nor hair of him nor any marriage between Stephen Spinks and Elizabeth Bullock.
Where should I look now?

Happy you got the cert!!!

Not so happy about my further search results. i.e. nothing at all about Stephen or a likely looking marriage.

I did let out quite a groan when I saw this, though:

OH MAUREEN!!!
It does make me think!
I was just looking for the birth of little James Rothe (4) who was living with uncle Richard Spinks in 1861 census and wondering about his lineage with regard to Rosehannah - but I can't find him yet.
Now what shall I do? It IS going to get expensive if I have to send for that Bullock/Norbury marriage - and what if it is a red herring?

Maybe let's just mull things over for a few days.

Clearer heads may come up with something. I'm only good for a really simple look up at the moment. (or a nap).....

I'm still struggling!
Can't find the birth of James ROTHE anywhere.
age 4 on 1861 census
Have looked under every spelling of ROATH/ROTHE/ROTH/ROAF etc/
Can anyone help please?

Could someone please help me with James Rothe?
Do you think James ROTHE on the 1861 census age 5 is the same as James ROATH age 15 on the 1871 census living with John and Dessey Roath?
Why can't I find the birth of said James ROATH?
Also when I find the birth of John ROATH b 1806 on IGI son of James and Ann how do I know how he fits in with the John ROATH above?
John named his father as James ROATH on his marriage cert in 1857 to Rosehannah Norberry Edith Spinks
Am I being greedy?
I would appreciate guidance please.
