Write giving details of who you want to locate. Of course, PigletsPal’s suggestion is just as good!

He would be employed by the Ministry of Labour as it was known in those days

No but he would be employed by the Arsenal but subject to the official secrets act .My dad worked there from aged 14 ie 1921 - c1973. they retired at aged 60 but then were on yearly contracts to aged 65 , dad had a stroke and retired on health grounds at aged c 63. He had to sign the the official secrets document.
Dad was a shell turner on my birth cert of 1937 and on official war work for WW2 so couldn't sign up for the Forces(they wouldn't take him!)

Hi my great grandfather worked at the woolwich arsenal for at least 26 years from 1891 onwards.
Does this mean he was employed by the army? possible track more about him that way or can I email or write to someone for information on there workers.Thank you Karon
