I wonder if someone could possibly help me find David Freeman born c1831 in Wheathampstead, Hertfordshire on the 1861 and 1871 census?
In 1881 he was aged 50, a Blacksmith's Labourer giving his birthplace as Wheathampstead and married to Henrietta aged 43 (born c1838 Aldbury, Herts).
I think I've found him in 1851 as a visitor to William and Alfred Freeman who were lodgers with the Day family in Wheathampstead. The entry describes him as a Blacksmith's Apprentice born in Wheathampstead in 1836.
There's a David Freeman on the 1861/71 census married to a Mary (born c1834 in Millbrook, Beds) but I don't think it's my David.
Whilst I think that Henrietta was my David's 2nd wife, none of David and Mary's children who are with them on the 1871 census appear with David and Henrietta on the 1881 census.
I hope this all makes sense and that someone can point in the right direction.
