Hello guys,
i am in dire need of help!
I think i have ascertained that James Madgwick's (b 1837 in Midhurst) parents were Thomas and Elizabeth Madgwick, I have found one Thomas Madgwick b 1781 and on their marriage record he married Elizabeth Ball in 1826. Now, that would make Thomas 56 when James was born.
I cannot find a Thomas and Elizabeth with James living with them. Have found others with other children but in 1841 aged 4 you'd think james would still be at home!

i have had a quick look on ancestry but do not subscribe to it so cannot view the full record and there is a record that seems to be the right chap of a trial and the 1871 census

First of all can anyone double check that i have James' parents right and possibly check that court record?

I am using my family tree research as a break from my dissertation research - probably not very wise as i always get engrossed in this and end up spending hours browsing census'!

Oooh thats exciting! is there anyway to find out if it is the right thomas madgwick? i have found many other Madgwick families in the sussex area so theres every chance it could be one of those.
