Maurice

Is it the free version or paid one?

If its the free one i cant help, unless its the same as the paid version

If its the paid version

Click on the AVG icon to open the page

Once page is open click on" computer scanner" situated left side of page
when the next page opens you will see at bottom right of page" view virus vault" here you will find the option to empty the vault
Hope this helps
George

I have the free AVG, and got the same message ............. and was able to clear the vault.

Interestingly, since I did that, every scan has been completely clear!

Hi Maurice,

I have both the free and a paid version on different computers
,they work much the same the only difference is the paid version has more protection, when you find your way to the virus vault, empty it and on occasion every few weeks check through and empty it , you will see lots of cookies that the program isolates in the vault on scans, AVG don't tell you about this and at first you are not aware that you need to do maintenance or like me a bit concerned about letting the things out of the vault having little understanding of how viruses work, I thought they would then go back into my computer but it is an EMPTY NOT A RELEASE so it is ok to do.

I think you will find that this board is here to help members and to ask questions about genealogy.

So, no problem with this sort of thread if it is providing the said help.
