I am the g grandaughter of George Johnson and Ellen Libra Quick that you mention!

I realise this is an old thread so I'll email you to see if you are still on here.

My grandmother is going to be 100 in October, she is their youngest daughter, born at the Coach and Horses. I knew her siblings well my mum was brought up by Connie.

I have been on to Gen forum and found someone who is a g granddaughter of George and ellen and am trying to contact her.The only thing is that the post was in 2002,so hope she hasn't given up!

Thank you all for looking this up for me.I had to leave the computer last night as I had a long call from my son in australia,so just looked in this morning.
funny I had looked at public member trees on Ancestry and missed that one Sylvia!
I've only just started on this family,and as she is married to a George Johnson,have been doing a lot of looking for him,and there are quite a few!
I haven't found them on 1911,but do know that their son,charles Leslie johnson was born 1907 at The Coach and horses pub in Hollowell Northants where George was the Licensed victualler.
Must get down to it,but yesterday had a sick husband to look after so my mind wasn't working as good as usual!

In fact Liberty might be the correct version .... such names were very common at one time.

It is also on ancestry, with the same spelling ...... I don't know where ancestry got their christening records. ???? from familysearch .... which would explain the similarity!!

Geographically its so close it must be the same person, surely?

what is her fathers name & Occupation?
witnesses names?
How old ws she when she married
( I guess she was a spinster-yes?)

Has anyone come up with this name.....Elibra....I thought it was a mis transcription for Eliza or Elizabeth,but it is on the certs that I have for her wedding and her son's birth cert.
This isn't my relation,but am helping out a friend.
I can't find her birth and wondered if it is an Irish name!
She is Ellen Elibra Quick married to George Johnson in 1903at Hemel Hempstead.

I have found an Ellen Libra Quick born in 1870 St Albans,but I think it is a bit early for this one.

just wondered if she was born in Ireland.
