Is there a website that has searchable BMD records for Northern Ireland in the 1940's?

I normally use:
http://pilot.familysearch.org/recordsearch/start.html#start
or select Search Records - Record Search pilot from the usual familysearch site. (It's probably the same as the last post, but I couldn't get that to work properly - probably something with my PC.) Then select browse our record collections just under the search boxes.

Then navigate to "Ireland Civil Registration Indexes 1845-1958" and read the "About this Collection" link.

It would seem this collection covers all Ireland thru 1922, and only the Republic after 1922, so you're out of luck for N.Ireland in the 1940s.
