Help to trace my Great Gran

How do I trace a member of my family, when I do not know, where they were born or if the name I have is right. I can not find her on births or Census, Please could some one help. Her name is Jenny Otton she was born 1889, I know the birth year from her grave.
Please Can anyone help.

Without at least a place its pretty unlikely......like where is her grave??

The only similar name that comes up on IGI is:
JENNY MARGARET SUSANNA OATON baptised 05'09'1885..daughter of Kate and Alexander.Oaten

My great grandfather was Richard Jonathn Webb, this has helped me a lot as I now know when she got married for the first time.
