Hi All
Just to let you all know.
I trawled through the index and found the name, correct age but different area of registration. Incidentally the area she was born.
Sent for the cert with fingers crossed and Yippee !
It was correct.
How pleased I am; because now I have the informant as her daughter with her married name.
On with the search..........

Thanks.
I have searched from when she married and became a Williams to when she would have been 100 year old.
Think I have found her but not in the district I was expecting.
Wil have to send for the cert.
Thanks for the guidance
Best wishes Joan

Joan - if you don't like the layout go to the right of the screen, under the tool bar thingy, and it should say 'new search' or 'old search'. Click on that and the layout of the screen should change.

Ah Ah, thanks Blossom.
I knew there was a way but they have changed their layout haven't they and I thought they had nicked the deaths.
Will try it, may be gone a while then........Thanks joan

Unfortunately deaths are not yet transcribed for 1837 - 1983, so you will have to click on 'Death Indexes 1837 - 1983', enter name and year of death and manually check through each quarter, which could be a long process.
