is it possible to search medal cards for ww2 if where? thank you in advance

hi janet thank you for your reply i want to see what medal,s my rellie got he survived the war i cannot find any site that can give me that info.

There are no medal cards online for ww2 they are not in the public domain.so not viewable anywhere,

these records are still held by the MOD.

Here is the link to the veterans Agency about claiming for medals, but i think it is only for the person themselves or nok who can apply

The other way is to obtain his service records again not online etc, which will show all the details but these are only availble to NOK or have their permission, they do cost £30-00 and take anything upto 8 mths to get them.



if you know where they served there is plenty of info if you google, might give you an idea of the medals he gained
