Unless you have some idea of when he died it is a very long trawl through the indexes - not transcribed from 1916 to 1983

You probably know this, but this looks like him - born Yorkshire:

1911
OXER ALFRED M 1877 34 Aston Warwickshire
OXER CONSTANCE F 1910 1 Aston
OXER EDWARD M 1902 9 Aston
OXER MARY ELLEN F 1878 33 Aston
OXER WINIFRED ELLEN F 1905 6 Aston

As Glitter Baby says it would be a hard slog looking for him without a bit more idea of when he might have died.

If you fancy trawling through the records yourself you could take out a free 14-day Ancestry membership. At least you have an unusual name to go on!

Good luck!

This gives you some idea of the years that need to be searched.

Hi June,

Please can you reply on here?

I see Alfred's wife Mary Ellen died in 1912. Did he just disappear after that?
