To day i recieved my photos for my
uncle George, who was killed in action in ww1 at.
Arras Memorial in France.they sent me 4 photos
2 with his name on the wall ,1 of the bay where his name is and 1 of the memorial .really good photos .

Hi Anne,

It's the War Graves Photographic Project.
They have taken photos of many graves in France etc. and have a search page below.
It is excellent with good quality photos which can be e-mailed or sent hard copy.

Hi Ann, Me too.

Thiepval Memorial Robert Hamilton Elder 1916

He is on the memorial itself as his body was never recovered.
You still get several photos of the appropriate section.

thanks Frank - my uncle was 19 years old when he was killed near Mametz woods - David John Williams. He was buried where he was killed but later the area was bombed,hence he had no grave and that's how he ended up on the Thiepval Memorial
