A member of my family was born at sea on their way to India (his parents had a military posting there) Although the Family were from County Tipperary my family have suggested this birth would be recorded in the British archives. Can anyone point me in the right direction of where to look for this birth record (the standard birth records dont appear to show anything) His name was Thomas Hill and was born between 1857 & 1867. I dont know the ship name.
