Ok - no photos on my tree so no problem there.

I wish I had spotted the relationship in the tree earlier I'm a bit annoyed with myself!

Thanks both for the advice.

Just to clarify - I can export to family tree maker via a gedcom file ... merge the two lines of the tree and then upload back onto GR (at which point the tree on GR will be wiped out)?

You cant merge them on the genes tree it doesnt have the capacity to cope with family connections marrying The only thing you can do it to make notes in each record OR if you have an offline tree like FTM which can cope with events like yours or cousins marrying etc you can download that tree to genes BUT be aware it will override your genes tree

Can anyone advise if it is possible in family tree programmes to drag and drop relatives into place? I've just realised I have been following two separate family lines for something only to find way back that there are two brothers marrying two sisters. Its too complicated trying to sort it out on Genes tree.
