Hi folks
Sorry I wasn't here earlier, had a little problem
Thanks for your inputs, I have already sent for the birth cct of young Albert in the 1911 census, to try to find Sarah's maiden name, I may also have to get the death cct for Emily in 1904 that you've found.

That still leaves my Granny Mary though, although I know for sure that she will turn up later in Bargoed, because otherwise I wouldn't be here.!!!

Thanks again for your helpI hadn't really thought of them moving to Lancashire, if that is the case, most of my ancestors seem to have made their move at an early age and then stayed put.
Thank you both again
Dennis

A possible death for Emily in Lancashire?

Deaths Mar 1904 (>99%)

Sherman Emily 31 Barton I. 8c 459

And that area covers Swinton ,as Somerset girl says.

Thanks Somerset Girl, but that's what I mean, It appears to be the right man but the wrong family.
I can't find Mary, or Emily on the census, and neither can I find a marriage for an Albert Sherman to a Sarah 11 years before.
Clifton Lancs and swinton Lancs don't ring true either, and I can't find the births of the first two children.

I wonder if anyone could help me find Albert sherman b 1868 Cirencester, should be living in Glamorgan or Mommouthshire.
He should be living with his wife Emily Hill born 1872 in Abergavenny. They were married in 1892 Abergavenny
They should also have a daughter Mary born 1896

My problem is that I have found on the 1911 Census
Albert Sherman, Head married, 11 years ,Miner hewer, Born Cirencester
Sarah Sherman wife married 11 years Born Clifton Lancs
Alice Sherman daughter 10 born Swinton Lancs
Fanny Sherman Daughter 9 born Ynyshire
Albert Sherman Son 6 born Bargoed
Annie Sherman daughter 2 born Bargoed
All living at 91 West St Bargoed.

This Seems to be the correct head of family, but the wrong wife and children.
My grandmother was Albert and Emily's daughter.Mary Elizabeth
