(b) Useful book:

Have you tried looking at the websites for the regiments for the area in which they lived , that sometimes show uniforms and badges

Hi Talia,

Have you tried the National Archives for service records?

This link might help,

I've had a look on ancestry for their service records, but i've so far found nothing that matches. I did try googing some of the ancestry's results to get some images of the soilders but nothing looks anything like what my great grandparents were wearing.. :(

Have you tried looking for his service or pension records on Ancestry? You might be able to get his regiment from there.

Hello :)
I have 2 old photographs of my 2x great grandads in army uniforms. I assume they're from WW1 from the age. I've been googling things such as what their badges looked like to try figure out what their role was during the war but i've got no where.
Is there any websites or anyone that could help me identify their badges and roles?
