Hi Mayfly
I have a subscription to the 1911 so it's no problem for me to look it up for you I wouldn't have offered otherwise.
If you want to PM or post the details here I will get the full read out for you so please don't think you are being cheeky just look on it as a Christmas Present!

I agree with SatNav. Give Astra the names and she can see what address they are living at. As has been mentioned more than one family lived in the same house.
However if they were from a different family and not sharing the same part of the house they wouldnt appear together. Each census page is filled in by the householder so he would only enter those living with him including servants etc.If there is a very large family living together there might need to be 2 census pages. 1911 census does explain you need to pay more if the names go onto the next page

Astra just might have the subscription and she did offer so why not

Hi Satnav
I didnt like to take advantage of Astras very kind offer as I felt it was a bit cheeky to do so

I really think you should take up Astra's offer, that way you will know if your free search is accurate or a complete waste of time.

Astra thats very kind of you thank you
but I really just wanted to know if what I was doing was correct, I do have the census for the family I was looking for at the correct Address, I just really wanted to know if these other families had also lived there as well at some point in time, .

More than likely yes. Many properties were shared by two or three families. If you would like to give me the details i will get the full read out for you.

I wonder if anyone could explain to me please:
If an address is put into the 1911 census in the people search and you have found the family you were looking for and then you just put in to the people search an initial for any surname a different one to your family you have found but still keeping the correct address and you still get results, does that mean these people also lived at this address as well?
