FTM 2010 Platinum Edition with six months free Ancestry access...................

If you are ordering Family Tree Maker 2010 Platinum Edition , you will find included in the price is six months free access to Ancestry Essentials.

Pretty good deal if you are in the market for a family tree genealogy suite and leaves you almost six months to decide if Ancestry is suitable.
if you don't require Ancestry access after the free trial subscription of almost six months then you cancel it as follows..........

To cancel your membership without incurring any charge to your credit or debit card, go to www.ancestry.co.uk, simply login and go to 'My Account', click on 'Cancel Subscription' at least 2 days before the free trial subscription is due to end.

No charges are made against your credit / debit card if you cancel on time.

yes, they are pretty flexible, I had free essentials with my FTM which I already had and Ancestry upgraded me to premium instead

I DO like their term.......

FREE trial......

it is no way free when you have to offer card details BEFORE being allowed access....

to MY mind FREE should be just that.......free with no conditions!!!

trade and description act? maybe........?
ooooooooH! but they is in "The States" isnt they?

Yes, if you ring them up and explain they should extend your existing subscription to compensate.

i have been given FTM premium for christmas and this includes free membership to Ancestry. i have already got a subscription which i upgraded to include the london parish records. Can anyone tell me if Ancestry will give me a credit against the FTM membership and how I go about claiming it ? pretty sure someone else on here may have been in the same situation. Alice
