What is the etiquette on replying to requests asking for relatives still alive

not sure of correct procedure but I would want to know the relationship /reasons etc. of those asking -then check with the living relatives before giving any information

ask yourself the question - would you be happy for somoene else to pass on your details in this situation? If not, then you don't either

I would say it is an absolute no no. You could however ask the enquirer if they would like you to pass their contact details to the relative concerned.
