Ancestry births - tip

Well, not a tip exactly, just a word to the wise. If you don't find a birth doing a search 1916 onwards, do look through the records - I have found one which seems to have been missed totally, or possibly mis-transcribed.

Do you mean you have trawled through the quarterly records? I hope you have reported the mistranscription.

Well, I haven't because I haven't found it transcribed at all! I trawled through because I felt the birth should be there and I knew the mother's maiden name. When I went back and tried the search again still no joy.
