Hi
Has anyone got the GR gold membership? Is it good value-? I want to be able to view households on the censuses- will it do this?
Thanks

If you have a Gold membership and search for a bmd ........ it only directs you to the INDEX

other sites, including the free www.freebmd.org.uk, direct you to the actual reference

The general opinion ......... no way is it worth the money!!!

I prefer ancestry

............ but the choice between ancestry and findmypast seems to be a personal preference.

I like Ancestry; my friend has both; it's a matter of 'you pays your money and takes your choice'.

Both are pretty good. I wouldn't take the Gold membership, though.

Thanks everybody for your replies.
I havent had a chance to reply sooner as I took the advice and signed up for a free trial of Find My past- I like it for the censuses but am not crazy about the BMD indexes and cant get any info at all out of the parish records.
i wil try a trial of Ancestry next and then choose between them.
thanks again everybody

and hello to anyone out there who remembers me from the first days back in 2003??
