Hi
I am using reunion 9 for Mac and am having trouble importing a gedcom to GR. Has anyone managed this? If so could you tell me how? I am starting completely afresh and have tried many times using the advice from the support centre.

Thanks!

Alex

A gedcom file is simply a text file - it isn't dependent on any operating system, so it shouldn't matter what you used to create it.

What exactly is the problem? Unfortunately there aren't too many mac users who frequent the boards but there might be someone who can help.

When I export from Reunion 9 using the format that GR requests i.e. 5.5 & ansl and import into GR I simply get a note saying 'there has been a problem importing this gedcom'.

i've tried it a few times now and have deleted an existing tree on GR so as to have a blank canvas.

Thanks

I don't have reunion 9 and I don't import tree onto GR that often so cannot really remember. Do you use Safari as a browser? I've a vague feeling that I had to use Firefox to solve the problem last time.

Sorry to be so vague. If I remember I'll let you know.
