Irish or English Births?

If children were born in the 1970's in Northern Ireland to members of the British Army serving there, would their births be registered in Ireland or England. I think they were born in a Belfast hospital, not a military establishment. Any advice on this would be much appreciated.

Definitely NOT in the Republic of Ireland.

Civil registration records are held in the GRO of Northern Ireland, Belfast for all events in the six counties of Northern Ireland since 1922.

Could possibly be registered as a British Army birth overseas, but I would have thought the GRO of NI would be a better bet.

They ahve a website, google them.

Many thanks for your quick reply. Had looked on Army births overseas and could not find them. Will try the GRO in NI. Thank you for your assistance.
