We inherited an 1887 Queen Victoria Golden Jubilee Metropolitan Police Medal Southern Division with the officers name inscribed around the rim. He was a relative of my husband's great aunts husband. Is there a site where I can find details about the officer? I've looked at the National Archives, MEPO, and the Metropolitan Police but cannot find how to trace individual histories. Is the only way to go to Kew and look in person?
