I have just been sent a newspaper clipping from my cousin in Edinburgh about a new site that has been launched. www.findagraveinscotland.com Someone called Tom McPherson has launched this site & intends to photograph every graveyard in Scotland & put the photos & info on his website.
So far cemeteries in Isle of Lewis ,Ayreshire & East Renfrewshire are on site. I have had a quick look & the photos are really clear. I can;t wait untill others are put online. Think it is a really good idea & will really help us who are not sure what cemetery our ancestors are in.

Thanks Hilary and Secret Red Squirel for thsi information.

I think it is great that people are making the effort to do these huge tasks. It is a pity that weather erodes the information eventually on the older ones, but what a little treasure trive you can find out!

Thanks for the information!
