Ah!!!!!! great............I suspected there must be some way of registering that you are holding this 'genealogistis gold-dust!'!!!!!!!!!!! I will take time to do that and register the ones I have,
and,
Yes
you are all right..............I guess I should get my act together and store them all properly, and ours too for that matter......................
thanks all!

i have scanned the few i have and printed them out to put in my FTM genealogy files BUT also have put the originals in acid free wallets and filed them in the appropriate family file at the top of the family history paper
I am very proud of my original birth cert with its Edward the 8th postage stamp on especially as he then later abdicated !

Put them in the folder with the rest of your certificates.

You can get acid free plastic wallets - the right length for the original ones.

If they're a bit fragile I would scan them and keep copies with the rest of the certificates and put the originals somewhere acid-free and safe.

I have inherited several (about 10) b d or m certificates from my grandparents. They are originals.
Is there a sort of protocol as to how you are meant to store them? Am I meant to record somewhere that I have got them? or do they just linger in a box under the bed until I pop my own cloggs??????
