garrett went to america in abt 1897 he married a Mariann Broughton ,He was born1872. His father was also a Garrett my grt grandfather. Garrett jnr went to ILLINOIS.I am at a brickwall
finding out about MORRIS ROACH Garrett' snr father born in Ireland .1820 .

I can't see Garrett on the US census until 1930 and year of immigration isn't filled in.

Silly me! Should have checked different spellings of Garrett. 1910 census says emigrated 1892. Also says his parents born Ireland. Says Garrett & Mary Ann married 16 years so evidently married in US.
