So, just to re-cap - you have found your grandmother's grandmother, is that right? And you are trying to find her mother, that is go back another generation and find wife of William Greenwood??
Might help if you put what you have on here - names, dates, locations - then we can advise you.

Becki which site have you subscribed to?

KathleenBell

KathleenBell Report 25 Jan 2010 16:04

Most people on here would say that Genes is the most expensive way of researching as they don't hold any records themselves. I use Ancestry (which I think most people on here would recommend) but Findmypast is popular too.

I use a subscription to Ancestry and buy odd credits for Findmypast for some records that Ancestry don't have.

i think ill definatly be doing that i only subscribed here the other day tho so i will have a long wait i think but ill try to make the best with what i got at the min.

Im 40+2 weeks pregnant and figured this would deffo be something i could get into once the baby arrives i did start this a while ago but on only a silver membership so figured i would wait until i had a bit of spare money so i could research properly

Good luck with the baby - I don't think I could have managed researching my family history while I had little ones. When I first started on here (in 2003) I used to spend nearly all day in front of the computer and rush around for half an hour before hubby came home from work trying to make it look as if I'd actually done something all day. A spray of furniture polish in the middle of the room was enough for him to think I'd actually polished the furniture, lol. He obviously doesn't notice the dust!!

I don't think a baby will leave you with much time on your hands!!
