Thank-you all.
I dont know her Father's name- All I have is the sisters from the 1851. I think I will need to order the cert tho before I do, I think I will do another IGI serach as Liz suggests as I find it someimes throws up new things.(??)

I presume that you don't have her marriage cert.Otherwise you would know her father's name.

Do you know the name of the father? Often the records are transcribed with only the head of family named.

Hi I have just discovered that my 3x G grandmother was born in philadelphia.

I suspect the family may be irish- her sisters seem to have been born in ireland.

Ellen Owens was born in america in 1833 (could have been as early as 1828) . She married Thomas Cunningham in 1850 in Bolton and in 1861 they were living in Bolton

Her sister Catherine was born in 1830 in Ireland
.
CAn anyone see any american records or passenger lists which might include the family moving from ireland to Philadelphia or P back to England (prob Liverpool)
