I have the parish records for St Mary the Virgin parish church in Horsham Sussex. Also those of a few surrounding villages.

Matthew and Jane Elwood who had my great great grandfather Francis Edward Elwood baptised in 1807 at Horsham Sussex. There is no sign of Matthew or Jane from this date and my great great grandfather was brought up as Francis Edward Elwood MITCHELL

Harmes baptisms - all have the fathers name as James - I can't find a birth for the said James the only one was in 1667 which would have been too early
