In all my excitement on finding something on my gr gr gr grandfather I forgot to google first, sorry about that.

I did google and went on wikipedia, then the phone went, then it was time to put the dinner on before I had a chance to get back and thank you.

I have just found a number of references in old newspapers that my gr gr gr grandfather was a head borough. Anyone know what this is?
