Hi
Looking for any help on trying to find my father in laws father. Brought up in the Newcastle WALKER area (not 100% sure if this is where he was born) This is a real stumbling block as he doesn't know too much about him except he was named as "Henry" Cooper when he married his mother Emmeline (Emmelina) Bolam in Newcastle in 1929, but he thinks this may have been a middle name.
He was a labourer in the Docks before joining the Navy, where he died during WW2 at sea, but can't find any that records that show Emmeline as spouse.
He also had 2 brothers believed to be twins that were born in 1930 William and Thomas - both of them died young but unsure when.

HELP!!!!!

Thanx to info received during my original query I have now found not only my father in laws father, I have also found his Grand parents. To say he is delighted is a vast understatement. I would now like to go further back If possible but find myself stuck again on his grandfather.
James Cooper 1871 married to Isabella Jobling 1874 in 1891.
Looking for any help finding James in earlier surveys.

Thanx in advance

Hi Glitter baby,
I've been able to confirm this by the address that my father in laws father Henry lived at. His mother although Isabel on the census was indeed Isabella.
Thanx so much for your help

Kind regards
Liz

Hi Margaret,
Just linking into the answer above, this is the correct Henry Cooper son of James and Isabella (confirmed by address). I believe there has been a Typo during the transcribing of the records as the one below James and Isabellas Henry Cooper has an Alice in it.

Thankyou so much

Kind regards
Liz
