thanks all!

Do service records ever include a photo? My dads dad was in the RAF and its one way to get more info on him, as my dad knew so little about him

Medals won't help. WW2 medals are not named.

How can I find out what British regiment my father in law belonged to. I know he fought in North Africa and spent some time in Sri Lanka but due to family breakdowns we have no records , medals or any info.
His name was William Thomas Kemp B. Mar 15 1915 from Birmingham.
Cant find any military site that will give out names. Thanks
