Use the links at:
http://www.collectionscanada.gc.ca/genealogy/022-911.009-e.html

For 1861, 1871, 1916 images, you need Ancestry.
Family search links to 1861/71 only give individual tanscriptions and it's hard to form households.
For 1881/91, use the LAC links
For 1851, 1901/06/11, look up on AG first, and note the geographic location, then look up at LAC, especially if you want the other schedules.
