Hi Kath, thanks for your advice. Was worried about causing unnecessary work as I do appreciate all the help I've been given in the past.

hi Glitter Baby, I don't think info would be repeated. I have information about the family up to 1930. I'm trying to trace 2 people after that date so it would be a new search. I asked about doing a new thread because I don't want to waste anyones time looking at pre 1930. Thanks for replying

If any of the information on the old thread might help in the new request you have then I would nudge up the old thread and alter the title by adding something like "new info needed".

However if the new request doesn't need any of the information from the old thread then I would start a new one.

Would the members end up posting all the information that was on the old thread again? Is it relevant to your new question? Will probably end up getting cross referenced to the old thread anyway

Just my thoughts but other will think differently

I want to ask for information on two people who's names were mentioned on a thread I posted last June. The thread was about their grandfather but Choccy kindly found out some info and their names were on it - do I start a new thread with these names or should I nudge the old thread with a new request? Would appreciate some guidance.
