Hi, if you click on "Help" above, next to "My account" then click on "My Family Tree" on the left, you will see information that might help sort out your problem.

To delete bookmarks, click the box next to the bookmark you want to remove and then scroll to the bottom and click the purple delete button.

Hope this helps.

As above, but in a bit more detail - lol Not very good at replies in a few words!

Firstly, you can only delete your own posts. Find the comment you want to delete

Immediately underneath it are words ….Edit….Delete….Add

If you want to change what you have written, use the Edit button, which will open up the text box again so you can make changes.

If you want to Delete the post/comment that you have made, then click on the Delete button.

(The add button is supposed to take you to the top of the page so you can use the ‘Reply’ button to make a new post – but it rarely works!!)

To remove a bookmarked thread from your bookmark list, go to ‘My Bookmarks’ on the left under the Tools heading. Find the title of the thread you are no longer interested in. On the right in that box is a column of little squares under the subtitle ‘Delete’.

Select the corresponding box against the thread title and click it, then scoll down until you find the purple coloured Delete button at the bottom. Press that, and the thread is no longer book marked.

Glad it is of help

There was one other thing

If you wanted to delete a thread you started (eg this one) go to your opening post and click on the Delete button. That removes the whole thread.

Some people say not to bother, as the data is held on the GR server, not your computer so not taking up space. But it's a personal choice, and I'm not intending to start a debate! lol!

This one could be quite useful to other browsers, so it may be worth leaving.
